UEFA Champions League Finals Odds, Lineups & Predictions

The 2021-22 Champions League is down to the final, Liverpool and Real Madrid will lock horns at Stade de France in Paris this Saturday for the European crown. The Reds beat Villarreal 5-2 on aggregate in the Semi-final while Los Blancos edged Manchester City 6-5 to enter the final.

This is for the ninth time that Liverpool and Real Madrid are meeting in the European Cup/UEFA Champions League. The English side had won the first three meetings but haven’t managed to come up with a win in the last five.

When the sides clashed in the 2018 Champions League final, the Spaniards emerged victorious. This is the third meeting between the clubs in the European Cup/Champions League final alone, the most between two sides in the history of both competitions.

Liverpool are looking at a seventh title whereas Real Madrid are in pursuit of a 14th to add to their collection which is twice as many as any other club in Europe. BettingPremier’s take on the final clash will follow.

Prediction:

Liverpool vs. Real Madrid

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is looking at a record fourth Champions League title as a manager. For that to materialize he and the Spanish champions will have to face the toughest challenge yet: Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool who have won two domestic cups this term.

The Reds lost the Premier League title tantalisingly after Manchester City pulled off an incredible comeback on the final Matchday to maintain the one-point lead. One thing is for sure; fans around the world are in for a scintillating final as two of the finest clubs lock horns for the European crown.

With the quadruple dream over, the Merseyside club will go all-in for the treble. Klopp’s men are on an 18-game unbeaten streak across all competitions as they head to France. Los Blancos have seen off the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea despite going behind against both sides on their road to the final.

Interestingly, Real Madrid have not lost against Liverpool since 2009. They have won four while the spoils were shared in one. Real sealed the LaLiga title with four matches to spare which gave Ancelotti the luxury of resting his top players, meaning Los Blancos will come better-rested than the Reds.

The final will also be a battle between the two best forwards in the world right now; Mo Salah and Karim Benzema. Liverpool will likely pip Ancelotti’s men to be crowned the champions of Europe.
