We are vibrantly following the CSK fans club, and not only all well-admired teams are participating to view the proximity of sight. The 2024 Indian Premier League, also known as IPL 17, is branded as TATA. IPL 2024 will be the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League, a right-to-vote Twenty20 Cricket League in India, conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. The tournament will feature ten teams and will take place from March 22, 2024, to May 26, 2024.

In IPL 2024, which starts with the 17th season of this year, the total number of league matches is 74, and ten teams will be involved. The 2024 season curtain-raiser will witness a blockbuster clash as the reigning champions of the IPL will start on March 22, when Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. IPL 2024 will be played in a double-round-robin format. BCCI is planning to establish IPL 2024 on March 22. The schedule will be announced in two halves. The schedule for the first half was announced, and then the schedule for the other half is likely to be announced after the announcement of general election dates.

After an intense season, with MS Dhoni-led CSK winning five championship titles. Two teams—the Mumbai Indians—whose last title came to take were victories in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019. CSK comes into the 2010–2011, 2018–2021, and 2023 titles. The 2024 season will see plenty of intriguing narratives. Rishabh Pant making his much-awaited return from injury for the Delhi Capitals, Hardik Pandya taking over the captaincy of the Mumbai Indians franchise from Rohit Sharma after MI acquired his services in the off-season from the Gujarat Titans, and Shubman Gill taking over the reins of the Gujarat franchise. In a mind-boggling turn of events, Devon Conway had been ruled out of IPL 2024, and Australian all-rounder Pat Cummins had been made the captain of Sunrises Hyderabad.

Format of the IPL 2024

  • In this stage, the top two teams compete with each other in a match titled “Qualifier 1”, as do the remaining two teams in a match titled “Eliminator”.
  • While the winner of Qualifier 1 straight-out qualified for the final match, the losing team got another chance to specify for the final match by playing the winning team of the elimination match; this match is titled Qualifier 2.
  • The winner of this subsequent Qualifier 2 match moved on to the final match. The team that won the final series was high-crowned the Indian Premier League winners.

Prediction:

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs. Punjab Kings (PBKS)

The Kolkata Knight Riders are joining up for the encounter of round 42 in the Indian Premier League 2024 showdown. The set is fixed to be on April 26, 2024, at 7.30 p.m. at Edens Gardens, Kolkata, West Bengal.

Pivotal Players:

  • Keep an eye on the KKR side, where Sunil Phil Salt, Shreyas Iyer, Rinku Singh, and Andre Russell will be pivotal with the bat. Narine and Chakravarthy will be crucial with the ball, along with the promising Indian seamers Hardit Rana and Vaibhav Arora. It’s a team effort, but these players could be the game-changers. Unfortunately, Starc is currently struggling to find his form.
  •  For PBKS, Shikhar Dhawan is the mainstay with the bat if he plays the match. Likes of Liam Livingstone and Sam Curran, too, will be a combination. With the ball, Arshdeep Singh and Kagiso Rabada will be the solution.

Previous Rivalry:

The KKR have been playing at home since April 14 and will play five consecutive home games. They have won two out of three games played at home so far. After losing a close match to RR, they managed to win another close game against RCB. The RCB batters, especially inexperienced ones, stood up this time and viewed them from the boundary. Mitchell Starc had to defeat 21 off the final over, and KKR managed to win the match by just one run. While the KKR have played some consistent cricket, the PBKS have lost some close games that they ideally ought to have won. In their previous clash against GT, they scored 142 with the bat but managed to take the match to the last over. KKR management should now consider giving him a break for a few games and giving a chance to Dusmantha Chameera, who is more than an able replacement.

Meanwhile, the PBKS are heading into this match after four back-to-back losses. They have been unlucky in losing some games from a potentially winning streak and defeated them in a few other games. In their previous match against GT, they could hold the game right down to the last over, defeating 143. PBKS has too many means of evasion within the team. They have yet to give that clinical performance on the field as a team. Searching for a victory after four straight losses makes things all the more difficult. PBKS have lost their last four games. Under the captaincy of Sam Curran, the team has yet to play at its best. Shikhar Dhawan, the regular PBKS skipper, suffers from a shoulder injury and has left out a few games. They are coming up against a team with a better face-to-face advantage, and their batters have been consistently scoring over 200 with the bat. Their bowling combination also needs an overhaul, and Shikhar Dhawan must return to their hit list. As a result, the Kolkata Knight Riders have another additional home advantage to hold on to a triumph in their oncoming matches.
