Meanwhile, fans say that Bezzecchi’s absence in both races has a lot to do with Marc’s consecutive wins. However, the Spaniard’s comeback was seen as a major storyline shift. As a result, the upcoming race at TT Assen holds a suspenseful narrative ahead. The MotoGP Netherlands GP will start on June 25, 2026, with the main event occurring on June 28, 2026. Let’s see the complete preview of the upcoming race at TT Assen with the schedule, race preview, and expert picks.
MotoGP Grand Prix of Czechia – Highlights
Marco Bezzecchi’s Slap Cost Him a Grand Prix
Marco Bezzecchi was out of the race as he was suspended due to slapping a track marshal. After Bezzecchi crashed in the Sunday sprint, the marshals arrived, and the track marshal accidentally throttled the bike. As a result, Bezzecchi struck the marshal and pushed him away. In turn of events, Bezzecchi was suspended by the MotoGP Stewards. This allowed Marc to easily dominate and win the main race on Sunday.
Marc Marquez’s Second Consecutive Win
Marc Marquez captured yet another Grand Prix event in the 2026 campaign. Marc Marquez closed the gap in the title race, trailing behind only five points. Marc Marquez completed the race, finishing in first position, surpassing his teammate in the dying moments of the race. Marquez’s momentum in the long straights and his braking stability in fast corners allowed him to stay in the leading spots. His tire management enabled him to sprint faster in the final moments, thus earning a P1 victory.
Ai Ogura’s Podium
Ai Ogura has been giving one of the best performances this season. He is keen on getting podiums and maintaining a consistent form. He broke the record for an all-time lap at Brno and secured the pole position. The Japanese rider’s pace was terrific as he secured the second position, fighting with the Ducati riders in the final moments.
Francesco Bagnaia’s Consistency
Bagnaia had a victorious weekend at Brno, winning the podium with a 3rd position finish. He fiercely battled for the lead but trailed behind the Japanese rider, Ogura. Ogura had a strong lead in the final moments. His tire preservation and last-race pace management gave him good traction, which helped him to defend his position.
