Who Wins Mathieu vs. Falcão?
Mathieu Wilkens has a slight edge over his opponent. Mathieu is young with a spotless record, and he gets to fight at home in Quebec City, which makes him stronger. His style focuses on applying pressure and delivering a high volume of punches, making him dangerous.
In contrast, Falcão comes in with a deep amateur background and many years of elite-level professional experience. He has the ability to remain calm under pressure and to handle fights with clever distance control and counterpunching. His style of boxing centers on timing, defense, and choosing good shots rather than engaging in wild exchanges.
With Falcão’s high ring IQ and Olympic-level experience, it will probably be very difficult for Mathieu to keep him away early. Falcão will keep Mathieu under pressure, giving a tough fight, making it difficult throughout the match.
Nevertheless, as the rounds progress, Mathieu’s activity and resilience may alter the course of events.
The pick:Wilkens Mathieu via Unanimous Decision (UD)
