The Italian Grand Prix 2020 will be taking place over a 53 lap course at the 5.8 km Autodromo Nazionale Monza on Sunday, September 6. It is the middle act of another triple header event at the Italian city where all the drama will reach its breaking point and it is undoubtedly one hell of a race.
Lewis Hamilton’s reign continues this year as he registered yet another control victory at the Belgian GP last weekend. The Mercedes Champion set a 1-2 record ahead of Bottas and the Brit has further extended his lead over Max Verstappen to a whopping 47 points.
All said, this race is a lot different from the other F1 championships let alone the track. The F1 is heading to Ferrari’s home but the Italians are not delighted as both Leclerc and Vettel brought huge disappointment to the team at Spa. Anyways they won’t be quitting that easy and the Ferrari-powered team is sure to plot their comeback.

Lewis Hamilton: 5 wins (2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018)
Nelson Piquet: 4 wins (1980, 1983, 1986, 1987)
It will definitely be a tough race for the Ferrari team as they face a huge challenge in Lewis Hamilton on Sunday at Monza. The drama is all set to get intense for the Italians, especially for Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel as they haven’t been capable of winning a race so far this season. Although Leclerc won the last edition of the race, the Italians have struggled too much with this year’s car.
The biggest threat for any top driver in this race will be the Mercedes driver – Lewis Hamilton, who has won 5 of the last 6 races this year. Except for his teammate Valtteri Bottas and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, the Brit has nothing much to worry and he is surely a league above the rest. Undoubtedly the Mercedes Champion is the hands down favorite to win the Italian GP this weekend.
However, let’s analyze some of the things that are really unpredictable like the midfield battle, which is shaping up nicely. With McLaren just a nose in front of Racing Point after stripping off 15 points earlier this season and surely not to forget that Ferrari and Renault are just behind. Sadly, Pierre Gasly is doing everything he can and Alpha Tauri is into the mix, although he’s not been getting much help.
