Predictions

Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler is a professional American golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He is one of the top contenders for the 2024 Open Championship. Over to his ranking, Scheffer is currently ranked the world’s number-one, reaching the Official World Golf Ranking position in March 2022. In addition, he won two Masters Tournaments in 2022 and 2024, and he is the first player to win the players’ championship in back-to-back years in 2023 and 2024. He is looking on to his victorious path in the PGA tour with 12 wins, three in the European tour and two in the Korn Ferry Tour. His performance has shown remarkable consistency, and Scottie Scheffler leads in greens with a regular percentage of 74.14%. Despite his overall success, Scottie Scheffler finished outside the top 20 in his last two starts of the open. Eventually, being a favorite adds immense pressure, but his strength makes him a formidable competitor.

Rory McIlroy

He is a Northern Irish professional golfer born on May 4, 1989, at Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland. Rory McIlroy’s amateur career was a phenomenal victory by standing top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking for a week. Later, he turned professional in 2007 and won his first triumph on the European Tour in 2009 and the PGA Tour in 2010. He has won the FedEx Cup three times in a row, more than Tiger Woods’ two victories. 2011 U.S. Open, 2012 PGA Championship, 2014 Open Championship, and 2014 PGA Championship are the four major titles he has won. He is one of three players, along with Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus, to have won four majors by age 25. Looking over Rory McIlroy’s recent form, he is showing consistency and resilience in his recent tournament, and his familiarity with the links-style courses will be a significant advantage for him. Therefore, his extensive experience in major tournaments allowed him to navigate the challenging conditions at Royal Troon effectively.

Ludvig Aberg

Ludvig Noa Aberg is a professional Swedish golfer who plays on PGA and European tours. During his amateur career, he ranked number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 29 weeks. In June 2023, he became a professional golfer on the PGA Tour, making the cut and finishing in a tie for 25th place. Further, at the John Deere Classic, he made his first top 10, where his final round 63 put him in a tie for fourth place. In major championships, he completed second place in the Master Tournament in 2024 and tied for 12th position in the U.S. Open 2024. Ludvig Aberg is well known for his mental toughness; with this ability, he stays focused and composed under pressure. Ludvig Aberg’s golf swing is one of the best technical skills, and he keeps it in top form. Overall, his skill, mental fortitude, and consistent performance made him a deserving champion in this 2024 open championship.

Xander Schauffele

Xander Schauffele is a current PGA tour champion and former European Tour and Web.com tour champion. He turned professional in June 2015 and finished second in the first stage of the Web.com Tour qualifier. His second stage win earned him a Web.com Tour card for tied 45th at the finale in Florida. He made his PGA Tour debut in June 2017. Later in July, he recorded his first PGA Tour victory at the Greenbrier Classic, earning him exemptions into the Open Championship. In 2018, he joined as an associate member of the European Tour. In May 2024, Xander Schauffele won his first major title, scoring 21 under par. After DeChambeau also made a birdie on the last hole, he defeated him by a stroke. Regarding his stats, he ranks high in several key metrics, including Moves Won: Approach (5th on TOUR) and Moves Won: Wandering (10th on TOUR). Even though he won the PGA Tour, the field will be more competitive and fuller of strong players like Scottie Scheffler and Rory Mcllroy fighting for the title. Still, we hope he will consistently perform and become a champion.
