Teofimo Lopez is a pro-boxer, representing America on world stages. The formative phase of his boxing career began in 2016. In the 2016 Summer Olympics, Teofimo Lopez participated as an amateur boxer. He represented Honduras, a Central American country. His grandfather was a Spaniard, and his mother was from Honduras. Lopez fought his first fight in the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs. Jessie Vargas. He became the knockout of the year candidate by beating Mason Menard. His 10-0 record made him an iconic boxer. In his next fight, he faced Diego Magdaleno and won by knockout. By that time, Teofimo Lopez had already secured a solid ranking in the major sanctions like WBO, WBA, and WBC. In 2019, he beat Nakatani by unanimous decision, setting him up against IBF champion Richard Commey. After that, he also won Commey and became the IBF Lightweight champion.
