Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya – About the Track
The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is a textbook circuit for every motorsport. Launched in 1991, it became one of the greatest circuits in European racing. It has hosted both F1 races and Motorcycle Grand Prixes.
With a capacity to seat 140,000 fans, the Catalan circuit is a fan-favorite asphalt, creating intense showdowns among the riders. The track extends about 4.66 km with a highest straight length of about 1047 meters. This feature allows speeding up on the track before slowing down at the exit and entrances.
Like every classic circuit, Valentino Rossi holds the record for the most poles and wins at this track. Alex Espargaro secures the all-time lap record and the best pole record in the circuit.

Injuries
As of now, no detailed injury has been reported except for Tech3 KTM’s Maverick Viñales. Maverick Viñales is still recovering after having a crash in the Herman Grand Prix. He suffered a significant shoulder injury and required an extended medical recovery. Besides that, there are no major crashes or injury reports from the most recent race in Hungary.

Marc Marquez
Marc Marquez carries championship weight into this race. With his 2025 confidence, Marquez brings a tough, competitive spirit to the race. Technically, Marc Marquez admitted that the Catalonia circuit tests him heavily. In the previous season, Marquez got third in the same circuit. Even though he does not prefer this track, he has two world-class championships on this circuit. Last year, he expressed a reluctance and approached the race with caution. However, given his form, Marc will approach this season more easily. Notably, the Barcelona circuit features a lengthy straight. Consequently, Marc Marquez will save more time in the lengthy lanes. Even more so, it has high-speed right-handers. So, he will keep the speed intact in both the entrances and exits in those turns. So, he is assured of winning a first-position victory in this Catalan GP.
Marco Bezzecchi
Marco Bezzecchi’s performance is eagerly awaited at this upcoming Catalan Grand Prix. Given his previous GP, it raises a question about his payback to Acosta. Bezzecchi’s performance in the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit appears more solid and consistent with his recent performances. He also shows interest in exploiting this track’s technical features. Pedro Acosta
