MotoGP 2025 – What Happened So Far?

Marc Marquez’s Remarkable Feat

Previously, Marc Marquez took the crown by a huge margin, winning the MotoGP Drivers’ Championship for the 9th time. Although there were uncertainties mid-season, Marc steadily built a large lead in the standings. However, a sustained injury caused him to miss the final GP of the 2025 Season. But Marc recovered in the meantime and will race in the upcoming MotoGP 2026 Season. Additionally, Francesco Bagnaia, Alex Marquez, and Marco Bezzecchi are returning to the circuit after a glorious 2025 Season.

Runner-up and Other Notable Races

Alex Marquez came very close to his brother, but his earlier setbacks in the season caused him a great decline. As a result, he got the runner-up position. Marco Bezzecchi follows up with a third-place finish due to his exceptional timing. It could have been Francesco Bagnaia to finish third, but he lost the chance drastically. One of the biggest reasons is Bagnaia’s issues with the bike. He was a prolific rider who was known for his style and control. But due to bike difficulties, he was left out on numerous occasions.

MotoGP Grand Prix of Thailand: Predicted Top Three Finish

Marc Marquez

Marc Marquez dominated the Pre-Season testing series. Although he finished third in the final pre-season testing race, Marc is a strong consideration. He has an effective riding and braking style that allows him to stay in the front with a significant lead. Particularly in the corners, Marc keeps the speed up without crashing. The Chang International Circuit’s track, which will test Marc’s braking ability to the core, is one he will benefit from. In the upcoming MotoGP Thailand GP, Marc Marquez is expected to finish first.

Alex Marquez

Alex Marquez comes with his BK8 Gresini bike, having finished the previous season in second place. He has a smooth riding style that maximizes on minimal brake control and relies on bike control. Besides, he has excellent rear tyre management, which minimizes wear and gives high cornering speed. So, Alex will have more overtakes, allowing him to stay within the leading spots. Hence, Alex will finish in the second spot, next to Marc.

Marco Bezzecchi

Marco Bezzecchi’s Aprilia Racing has won several rounds of the Pre-Season rounds. The team has already surpassed Ducati with Marco Bezzecchi. Bezzecchi finished third last season and has solid control of his bike. Regarding braking, he has an aggressive braking style, which might slightly hinder his speed. Otherwise, the Italian is well-positioned to finish third in this MotoGP 2026 opening race.
