Top Three Finishers

Francisco Baganaia wins the primary race after a long thirst for first position. Baganaia, a former world champion, is one of the elite riders who constantly gets podiums. But this season, particularly the last five Grand Prix events, has been miserable for him. Despite having an insane amount of adaptability to the circuit, Baganaia has maintained consistency in the 2025 MotoGP season. However, Baganaia qualified for the pole position and continued the same momentum into the primary race at Moetgi. From the start, Francisco Baganaia maintained the first position in the lead, whereas Márquez followed him in the second position. Additionally, Johan Mir of Honda, the home team for Japan, had secured the third position. It was an emotional moment for the rider, Johan Mir, and the team Honda Racing. The top three finishers had their own story to celebrate the Japanese Grand Prix.

Setbacks and Injuries

This weekend obviously had its celebratory moments, but also some dramatic setbacks and crashes. Notably, Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi were involved in a crash in the sprint race. The collision occurred immediately after the start as the congested riders headed towards turn 1. Former champion Jorge Martin aggressively tried to gain positions under heavy braking. Unfortunately, he misjudged a braking point and lost control, causing him to fall. As a result, he collided with Marco Bezzecchi and knocked him down. Marco Bezzecchi stumbled mid-race, reducing the competition for the leading riders. The incident left the elite rider Jorge Martin on the injury list, who previously had a broken shoulder. Aprilla had both riders in a crash; however, Bezzecchi continued.

Grand Prix of Indonesia – Predictions

Marc Márquez

Marc Márquez had previous crashes at the Mandalika circuit in prior seasons. However, he has improved his riding style and continuously evolved as a rider. As he has already become the 2025 MotoGP Champion, Marc will ride the Indonesian Grand Prix with reduced pressure. But still, he will prioritize the podium chase. Given his previous crashes at hard-braking zones, Marc Márquez will employ a more strategic riding style to avoid crashes. With his consistent energy management on Ducati, he will ride strategically to gain a podium rather than taking risks. Carrying high hopes, Marc Márquez will get a podium and, more likely, a first place.

Francesco Bagnaia

Francesco Bagnaia had just made a comeback at the Japanese GP 2025. His pole position contributed the most to his victory. After a confident pole position and a sprint race win, Bagnania will ride on the newly gained momentum. However, the Indonesian track has presented challenges to Pecco in the past. He will likely maximize his Ducati’s strength and capitalize on straights. After constant struggles and inconsistent outcomes, Bagnaia will try to keep a podium streak. Francesco Bagnaia is expected to reach 2nd or 3rd position in the upcoming Grand Prix of Indonesia.

Álex Márquez

Currently in second place in the MotoGP standings, Alex Márquez will continue riding tactically. His calculated riding style with smooth corner braking will allow him to maintain top positions. Moreover, the prominent right turns will give him overtaking opportunities among other riders. We could see Alex gaining the lead positions after several laps. In summary, his strategic riding style will earn him a podium in the upcoming Grand Prix of Indonesia.
