Earlier ICC Head-to-Head Match Results:
India vs South Africa
The India vs South Africa test game ended, and the domination of South Africa shook the Indian fans. The Day 5 Session 2 is where South Africa gave the final blow towards the win. 1st Innings was dominated by South Africa, Marco and Muthusamy scored 93 and 109 respectively. Kuldeep and Bumrah were the good performers from the bowling side. Everything was great, but India should have fastened their tempo towards the end of the innings.
In the 2nd innings is where the real story begins. South Africa won the toss and decided to bat. Jadeja and Sundar scored 54 and 16, respectively, which doesn’t seem to be enough to chase the score. On the other hand, Tristan and Tony de Zorzi scored 94 and 49, respectively. Simon Harmer took six wickets in just 23 overs, securing the player of the series title. South Africa won the series by 408 runs.
New Zealand vs West Indies
The last ODI between New Zealand and the West Indies ended. Day 3 of 3 in the ODI was intense. The West Indies won the toss and decided to bat; the West Indies scored 161 out of 36.2 overs. New Zealand started to chase the score with ease, scoring 162 in just 30 overs. Yet the West Indies made New Zealand lose six wickets. The bowling side of the West Indies was greater than that of New Zealand. Mark Chapman single-handedly scored 64 runs in 63 balls. Nine runs from extras, and a few runs made their chase even smoother. The West Indies were finally humbled. Matthew and Jayden both secured four wickets by two each. Their chase was sharp, yet faster than ever. In the end, New Zealand made their chase look effortless and secured the win by four wickets.
Bangladesh vs Ireland
Bangladesh vs Ireland T20 ended a while ago; Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first. Ireland scored 181 and got four wickets down. Then the chase by Bangladesh was slow. Tawhid Hridoy scored 83 runs in 50 balls and was not out till the end. The rest of the players got out in just a single run, six runs, and scored really low compared to Tawhid Hirdoy. This made their chase slow down even more. They got pressured at the end of the game, too. Ireland got Bangladesh to lose nine wickets, and also, there were no balls left. Either way, Bangladesh would’ve never been able to chase the score down. This is just the beginning of the T20, and Ireland now leads 1-0. Bangladesh could make some changes in their gameplay, and they could outsmart their upcoming game.
Recent Injury Updates
India
Shubman Gill was reported to have a neck injury. The information release about his injury is potentially nerve-related. Also, he was ruled out of the ongoing ODI series against South Africa; possibly out for the rest of 2025, and fans are not really expecting the comeback of Shubman Gill. The game is expected to move forward without his presence. Along with him, Shreyas Iyer was reported to have a lacerated spleen/abdominal injury. He is also ruled out of the ODI series against South Africa; discharged from the hospital. His return to the game is much more expected, maybe near the end of 2025.
South Africa
Kagiso Rabada is confirmed with a rib injury and was ruled out of the ongoing T20I and upcoming ODI series against India, and is expected back in late December. Gerald Coetzee is undergoing groin and hamstring injuries throughout 2025. Anrich Nortje has a Back injury and a fractured toe. He has a long history of injuries and only recently returned to the T20I. Simon Harmer suffered a shoulder injury during the first Test against India but appeared to be available for the second Test. He is not expected in the upcoming ODI series. This list of injuries shows that South Africa’s performance could be a little shaky.
New Zealand
Lockie Ferguson is now undergoing a hamstring injury, and his presence is not expected in the upcoming test game against the West Indies. Adam Milne has also injured his ankle and is not expected to be in the upcoming test game. Will O’Rourke has a back injury, and he is clearly not available for the upcoming test. Ben Sears was injured with a hamstring and is currently recovering and not expected to be in the upcoming games. Glenn Phillips is also undergoing a groin injury and is not expected to be in the upcoming game. Tim Seifert got a fractured finger on the right index and was ruled out of the recent ICC T20I series against the West Indies.
West Indies
Shamar Joseph is undergoing a Shoulder injury, and he has also been ruled out of the recent and ongoing series in New Zealand. Alzarri Joseph is experiencing a lower back injury and has been ruled out of the Test series against India. Jediah Blades has a lower back stress fracture, and he was ruled out for the upcoming New Zealand game. Ramon Simmonds’ injury was unspecified, and yet he was ruled out of the ICC T20I series against New Zealand. This list is not expected to impact the performance of the West Indies in the upcoming games.
Bangladesh
Tamim Iqbal is suffering from a knee injury; reports say that he has recovered. Yet he is not back in the squad for the upcoming game against Ireland. Also, there are other players who underwent injuries and are now back in the squad, like Litton Das, who recovered from a back strain and is now back as the captain of the team. Mustafizur Rahman also underwent an ankle injury and has now recovered and got back into the squad to play the ongoing series against Ireland.
Ireland
Ross Adair, experiencing bone stress in the knee, was ruled out of the T20I series against Bangladesh. The rest of the squad is stable, and all the injured players are back in the squad. The performance of Ireland is expected to be the same, or even better, with fewer injuries.
Predictions
India vs South Africa
South Africa might have the capacity to beat India in the test games. But when it comes to ODI or T20s, the entire story is different. India, with their poor planning, have lost their test series against South Africa, but this time, the upcoming ODI is just going to begin. India does not let the game loose over time; this time, India’s planning will be on another level. Also, with a huge list of injuries on the South Africa side, it’s expected that a fast performance for this game is less likely to happen. India does lack two key players due to injury, but now they have the rhythm, and their gameplay doesn’t get impacted anymore. India will be victorious in the upcoming ODI against South Africa.
New Zealand vs West Indies
Both New Zealand and the West Indies have a huge injury list going on. Though New Zealand won the last game against the West Indies, now the chances of that happening again are far less than before. That does not mean they could flip the game; the West Indies is going to play it safe. This upcoming test game is going to be a little sketchy and also a slow grind, which is going to be a safer side for the West Indies to win. If New Zealand stays patient and takes decisions carefully, this game could be tight, expect a slow start for the first inning, and the 2nd inning could be a little faster. New Zealand is more favoured to win this upcoming test game against the West Indies.
Bangladesh vs Ireland
Ireland won the last game, but this time the game is going to flip, and Bangladesh is going to dominate the entire game. The bowling and the fielding accuracy of Ireland are unmatched. Bangladesh will have a hard time chasing the score if Ireland wins the toss and bowls first. Yet, Bangladesh will beat and chase down the score if they plan it properly. Ireland will have to push harder to beat Bangladesh; the game will not be as easy as before. The form right now is far better for Bangladesh than for Ireland. Bangladesh will win the upcoming ICC T20 game against Ireland.
