Shreyas Iyer is now confirmed to be ruled out of the South Africa series as he is now undergoing treatment for an abdominal spleen laceration. Also, Axar Patel is now confirmed to be ruled out of the T20 South Africa series. He was ruled out due to illness. Yashasvi Jaiswal is also hospitalized and ruled out for the upcoming South Africa T20 game. He is expected back soon, too. Reports say that he will have a short-term recovery.

South Africa

Tony de Zorzi is now ruled out of the upcoming T20 series against India. His injury is now undisclosed. Kwena Maphaka has also been ruled out of the T20 series against India due to injury. Kagiso Rabada has also been ruled out of the T20 series against the India due to rib bone and ankle inflammation. Anrich Nortje has returned to the squad for the upcoming T20 series against India. He has been back from a long layoff, and he is not expected to perform exceptionally well.
