Bahrain Highlights for 2026
Preseason testing for F1 will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit, with a new format and schedule. This event is one long testing period; there will be two individual sessions from February 11 to 13 and February 18 to 20. This change provides teams more time to analyze data between the tests and adjust their setups to meet new regulations. The F1 Bahrain circuit remains the same, featuring the well-executed track as this season’s starting point.
However, the new exciting schedule aims to help teams better prepare for the season opener in Australia. In addition, Bahrain has stable, dry weather with high track temperatures, which are suitable for testing tires and power units. The venue is well-equipped for extended testing, and its rough surface also support teams in understanding tire wear and degradation.

F1 Bahrain Preseason 2026-Predictions
Max Verstappen is already a rising star in the motorsport world and one of the most important figures in the F1 tournament. In the past year, he has had a winning streak with F1 world titles that ended. He lost the chance to win his 5th straight championship by just two points over Lando Norris. Additionally, he started the year with a fast but tricky Red Bull and struggled to maintain his best experiences. His consistent performances in Japan and Imola earned him victory, and his teammates felt proud.
Later, Max Verstappen kept him in the title race against the McLaren team of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. However, his chances faded after a tough mid-season in motorsports. He was taken out of the Austrian GP by Andrea Kimi Antonelli. Although Red Bull faced setup issues, it managed only one podium finish in seven races. Max Verstappen won six of the last nine races but lost the championship in Abu Dhabi, finishing behind Norris.
Conversely, Lando Norris won his first Formula 1 title last year, defeating Max Verstappen at the Abu Dhabi finale. This kind of achievement is considered the first driver’s world championship since Lewis Hamilton in 2008. Furthermore, Norris started the season on a high, winning the rainy Australian Grand Prix. He soon struggled and fell behind teammate Oscar Piastri as he got used to the MCL39 car.
Even though Lando Norris crashed into teammate Piastri, he didn’t finish the race in Montreal. After that, Lando Norris won three out of the following four races, achieving a consecutive win. His title hopes took a hit when he had to retire at the Dutch Grand Prix because of a mechanical failure. In fact, Lando Norris clinched his seventh win of the season in Brazil, making him a contender for the championship. While Max Verstappen won in Abu Dhabi, Norris finished third, which was enough for him to secure the championship.
