Heavyweights David Allen and Filip Hrgovic are set to face each other at Eco-Power Stadium this Saturday, 16 May 2026. The British star fighter David Allen challenges the Croatian Olympian Filip Hrgovic in this sweat-soaked boxing bout. This heavyweight clash is a classic showdown as both veterans aim for total dominance. This fight is even hailed as a “Dave vs Goliath” battle.
It is more of an unbalanced fight as Dave claimed that he lacks the aggressiveness of Filip. He says that Filip is an elite-level puncher whose capability he lacks. However, he states that his approach will be smarter rather than outright aggression.
Regardless, this fight will keep fans intrigued until the very moment either boxer earns a stoppage or a decision. Allen became a fan-favorite after big appearances, whereas Filip Hrgovic comes as a prolific boxer. The unpredictability surrounding the dynamics will yield a dramatic outcome.

David Allen vs Filip Hrgovic – Prediction
Filip Hrgovic comes as a huge favorite to win this fight. He is definitely bigger and more agile. He has greater stopping power despite being younger than Allen. Hrgovic’s footwork is firmer and superior to Allen’s. Allen is a come-forward fighter, struggling to close the distance. Hrgovic’s lateral movements are indeed considerable strength. While he focuses on variety, Allen often works in high guard, making him vulnerable to body shots. Defensively, Hrgovic is technically sound; however, he has occasional errors, leaving him exposed to headshots. Conversely, Allen possesses an excellent chin and is known for durability. But this is considered dangerous as he might get knocked out. Offensively, the Croatian has more power, often with higher knockout chances. This will result in fatal outcomes if Allen fails to absorb punishments. Hence, Hrgovic is predicted to win in this David Allen vs Filip Hrgovic fight. The Pick: Filip Hrgovic via Knockout/TKO.
