All matches in the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship will follow these rules:
- Players must score 501 points to win a leg, finishing on a double.
- Matches are in a set format, with a minimum of three sets to win.
- Sets are best of five legs in the first round and non-deciding sets of subsequent rounds.
- Deciding sets (except in the first round) requires a player to win three legs with a two-leg lead. If tied 5–5, a sudden-death leg decides the set with no throw for the bull.
